THE MINDFUL APPROACH

Not every pet
wants the same thing.

Some love a long sniff. Some prefer a sunny window. Some need a little more time to decide you’re a friend.

Mindful care begins by noticing the difference—not expecting every animal to fit the same routine.

01

Listen to the person who knows them. You know their habits, likes, boundaries and little quirks.

02

Respect the animal in front of you.Comfort, choice and gentle handling—not forced affection.

03

Be clear about what they need.A realistic care plan, including the company they need when alone.

A good stay starts
with a good conversation.

No instant-booking guesswork. First, work out whether the care is the right fit.

01

Tell us about them.

Share your dates, suburb, pets and everyday routine. Include any medical needs and how they cope with time alone.

02

Get to know each other.

Discuss suitability and a meet-and-greet before committing. Ask about the sitter, care arrangements and the details that matter to you.

03

Agree the details.

Confirm the quote, attendance, routines, updates, emergency contacts and handover. A stay is only booked once it is explicitly confirmed.

A personalised quote - not a one-size-fits-all promise. Pricing depends on your dates, location, pets and agreed level of care.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few things worth asking.

Clarity is part of good care. These are the conversations to have before confirming a stay.

Does overnight sitting mean someone is there all day?

No—not automatically. Overnight sitting and continuous supervision are different arrangements. Discuss arrival and departure times, daytime outings and the longest time your pet can safely and comfortably be alone. Attendance must be agreed before booking; do not assume 24-hour care.

Can you care for anxious pets or pets with extra needs?

Tell us about their needs, including separation distress, mobility, behaviour and disrupted sleep. Suitability needs an individual discussion and may require veterinary guidance. A familiar home can help some pets, but it is not an anxiety treatment or a guarantee that every pet will be suitable.

What about medications?

Include medication requirements in your enquiry. Administration must be assessed against the sitter’s competence, veterinary instructions and the scope of the service. Do not assume injections, complex clinical care or all medications can be accommodated.

What happens if my pet needs a vet?

Before a stay, agree your veterinarian, an after-hours clinic, an authorised local contact, transport and payment arrangements. Written veterinary authority and clear emergency instructions are important. Ask how urgent concerns and any interruption to care will be handled.

How much does a stay cost?

Request a personalised quote for your dates, suburb, pets and care requirements. Confirm what is included, attendance hours, any extra-pet, holiday or travel charges, first and last-day arrangements, and cancellation terms before accepting. No rate or availability is confirmed by this preview.

What should I know about the person staying in my home?

Ask to meet the actual sitter and discuss relevant experience, references and any documented police checks, first-aid training and insurance scope. Also agree key handling, disclosed cameras, visitors, house rules and any backup arrangements. This page does not claim unverified checks, qualifications or insurance.

Tell us about
their stay.

Your dates and location are a start. What really matters is who they are, and what a good day at home looks like for them.

Please do not include your street address, keys, alarm codes or veterinary records at this stage.

Include any attendance needs or concerns. Pet types and care suitability are assessed individually.
